A word or two about the necessity of cultural literacy. There’s something mildly peculiar about a pastor who knows the details of the current plotlines from Days of Our Lives. But there’s something that’s just out of touch about a pastor in America who has no idea what Days of Our Lives refers to. (The soap opera, okay? Stay with me here.)
